We all need a bit of Breathing Space right now…
Breathing Space London is the London Buddhist Centre’s health and wellbeing project. It runs secular courses that teach techniques, tools and tips on mindfulness. The courses are open to anyone and you don’t need any interest in Buddhism to join in.
Breathing Space was founded in 2004. Since then, it has helped thousands to manage and sustain positive mental health. Now, given the Covid-19 crisis, its courses are taken by people from all over the world online; in fact, the first, on how to cultivate compassion, was followed by more than 1,000 people worldwide.
Courses are intensive, twice-weekly and in the evening. They include practices, meditations, exercises to continue at home, interactive groups, and plenty of time to have questions answered and share experience. People on the courses often comment that they feel more connected afterwards.
